This is a hotel go-to for Aix-en-Provence! It's nicely appointed place, offers newly renovated rooms and has amazing location. The lobby bar is nice.

spotless modern hotel, newly remodelled and well-maintained rooms. the rooms with terrace, ac, highly efficient staff both at check-in and check-out. early check-in and efficient check-out, parking nearby. no charge for wake up calls and ironing too. good spot not far from all the good dining options, the cours mirabeau and southern france. again, walking distance to a tree-lined avenue.

Although breakfast was excellent, our one experience of the menu/food at dinner was disappointing.

Staff need to be more attentive around pool area regarding serving refreshments.

I thought that the rooms were very nice, spacious for France and the price, the hotel staff was friendly and responsive and the location to the center of AIX very nice. It was nice to have a pool and a bar at the location. All in all very good.

There is no one thing that I did not like about this hotel.

since the wind blows strongly at times, the swimming pool could be heated? given the level of the hotel, it could be expected - water was freezing and even people from Northern Europe did not dare to swim

We loved the Roi Rene and really enjoyed our stay there. It is in a great location within very close walking distance to Cours Mirabeau. They were very accomodating when our AC wasn't working well in our room and moved us right away. The front desk people are very nice and extremely helpful. The hotel is beautifully decorated with a modern and sofisticated decor which we liked. It also has a great pool and patio. We did not get a chance to eat at the hotel but the menu did look nice. I would recommend this hotel no question.

Located in nice part of Avignon.

Smelled of mildew, the air conditioning was insufficient and the lighting in the room was poor.
